What is battery storage

Domestic battery storage is typically used alongside solar panels. It allows surplus electricity generated to be stored for later use, when the sun isn't shining.

Solar batteries offer more control over your energy consumption and allow you to store your solar energy for when you need it most, day or night.

You can also charge your batteries from the grid at night to take advantage of cheaper off-peak rates, and then use the energy during the day.

Energy security – batteries can help you become more energy self-sufficient, or even get off the grid entirely. They also make power cuts a thing of the past

Modern and compact design - with easy installation and a minimalist design, batteries complement a variety of home styles. The compact, all-in-one construction features versatile mounting options for indoor or outdoor spaces

Monitor your consumption - several smart batteries allow you to monitor your solar production and energy consumption online or via a mobile app

Environment

Electricity is the energy source of the future, renewable sources will become the norm.

The global and local goal is to have net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 - this is ambitious!

The goal of the energy transition is independent from fossil fuels. Fossil fuels are in decline on the electricity market as they are too harmful to the climate and ever more scarce. Currently, heating UK homes accounts for 14% of the overall carbon emissions levels, which is too high.

Nowadays, alternative energies from the sun, wind and water are smart solutions to the climate crisis and the protection of our planet.

Renewable heating systems like air or ground source heat pumps have been recognised as an important part of the solution. This is why the government is encouraging the installation of heat pumps as the low carbon alternative to gas, oil and LGP heating.
